Hefei
Wildlife Field
It is located at the foot of the beautiful
Dashu Hill in the western suburbs of Hefei city. It covers an
area of 100 hectares. With the air fresh and the water clean
and pure, and over 2,800 rare animals rambling at leisure, the
field makes a feature of ¡° woods, wildness, naturalness and
simplicity.¡± The birds¡¯ garden, accessible to the public,
which is the largest one of its kinds in China, has been set
up in the middle of the field. Once you get into the zoo, you
will wonder whether you are returning to the natural world or
not.¡¡

The
Site of the Former General Front Committee For the
Crossing-the-Yangtze Campaign---Yaogang Village
Located
in Yaogang village in Feidong county, Hefei, it is a key
historical relic site under the state protection. From the 2nd
April to the 28th April in 1949, the General Front Committee
for the Crossing-the-Yangtze Campaign was stationed here. Deng
Xiaoping, Liu Bocheng, Chen yi, Su Yu£¬and Tan Zhenlin
jointly planned and commanded operations of the campaign,
which shocked the country and the world over.
The former sites include the offices for
the General Front Committee and the East China Bureau, the
attached staff division, confidential division, secretarial
division and logistic division. Besides, the anti-air-raid
tunnel, fish pond and an ancient wayside pavilion are still
existing here.
